We specialise in sports catering, providing tailored solutions that meet the unique needs of sporting events. Catering in a Box specializes in providing high-quality packed lunches and team meals, tailored to meet the needs of busy teams and their managers. Our on-site presence at Nga Puna Wai – ensures unparalleled convenience, allowing team managers to collect orders directly from our location at times that suit them best— completely hassle-free.
We also accommodate a wide range of dietary requirements, ensuring every team member is catered for with care and precision.
Our lunch packs start from only $9.50 per person and can be tailored to suit your needs. There is a minimum of 15 people per order. However, please talk to us – we are happy to accommodate smaller orders where possible.

Can you cater for dietary requirements?
Yes! We can accommodate gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free, halal-friendly, vegetarian, and vegan options. Just let us know when booking.
How far in advance do we need to book?
We recommend booking at least 48 hours in advance, especially during tournament season, but we can often take last-minute orders depending on availability.
Do you deliver to hotels and sports venues?
Absolutely. We deliver to hotels, motels, Airbnb accommodations, sports hubs, stadiums, and event venues.
Is there a minimum group size?
We cater from 15 people up to large groups of 200+.
Can meals be customised?
Yes — flavours, spice levels, and sides can all be adjusted for your group.

They have always exceeded our expectations with fabulous food at very competitive prices. Recently they catered the South Island U18 Tournament providing lunch to 6 teams of 30 players over 3 days, food was delivered straight to the changing rooms for teams and I received superb feedback from the teams around the quality of lunches. Nothing is ever an issue for them, even booking in two rugby teams for breakfast 2 days before it was needed after a canceled booking elsewhere, I would highly recommend Catering in a Box for any of your catering needs.”
